A very big Thank You to all the Choirs and Soloists who took part in the first Sangerstevne.  Our survey indicates that the event was particularly appreciated by our audience.  The quality and variety of the performances were praised, as well as the friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere that prevailed throughout  the day.

What is a Sangerstevne?

Originated in Norway, a Sangerstevne literally means a Congress of Choirs and Singers.  Such festivals are major events in Scandinavia, where singers from all over the country gather for several days to meet old friends, exchange ideas and repertoires, and sing to each other in a relaxed and non-competitive atmosphere.  Likewise, West London Sangerstevne participants have the opportunity to present a short programme of their choice and to become better acquainted with one another.  They also get to display their own promotional material and concert notices on the day.
